Christina showed up to our first date in heels, red lipstick and a leather jacket. Not my typical type. But by the end of the night we were dancing in the rain and already making future plans.
Despite his gym bro pics, Kyle’s kind eyes and hiking pictures caught my attention.
The first time I saw him, I couldn’t believe how big his arms were!

Weekend Getaway to Connecticut
This girl had an adventurous side and I wasn’t about to plan a boring dinner date. I spontaneously booked an Airbnb on a lake in Connecticut, which is where we really started to fall for each other.
Although this seems like the beginning of a dateline episode, “girl meets man on bumble, goes to remote cabin, never to be seen again!” It felt more like a rom-com. It was a super cut of us canoeing, cuddling, late night talking and a mutual agreement that we can not let each other go.

California - It's Official
On our first date, Christina mentioned she was going to California soon and jokingly told me to meet her there. A little last minute planning and California was where we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend.
I already had plans to go to California and playfully asked Kyle to join me. I couldn’t believe that he flew across the country for me! It was my California dream come true.

Arizona - Christina's Travel Position
Coincidence, luck, whatever you’d like to call it. A business from Arizona contacted me looking for video services. I flew out to meet them and landed them as a client. A trip that allowed me and Christina to spend a week together exploring the amazing landscapes of the state.
I always thought I would travel and meet the man of my dreams along the way. Turns out he was just a few streets away on LI

February 2019
Cross Country Road Trip
Christina’s work contract in Arizona finally ended and I went to go pick up my girl! We routed a Cross Country trip back home filled with open roads and little rest...mostly because I had to sleep with one eye opened every time Christina was driving.
We were fully packed and ready to Airbnb across the U.S. If Kyle had his way he would have driven the entire time. However, he was stuck with me, the woman that likes to accelerate on turns 😊

Moving In
Our first day looking for apartments and we hit the jackpot. Great neighborhood, rooftop view of Manhattan, huge amount of space…and they allowed dogs 😏
Our first apartment had a lot of ups and downs. We had a stunning rooftop view of Manhattan, but sometimes struggled to get there...like when we got stuck in the elevator at the stroke of midnight on New Years 2020.
November 2019
Brought Ava Home
I flew to Oklahoma to pick up my teddy bear pup. Her breeder told me her parents were show dogs, but now I know she lied because Ava is clearly half raptor/half tasmanian devil.
When Kyle first mentioned getting a dog, I said no. But after looking at photos of Ava, her fluffy face melted my heart. Now I can't image our lives without her.

The Pandemic
A difficult time for most, but especially for an ICU nurse and business owner. However, we made the best out of a shitty situation and continued to support each other through rough times.
And just like that our worlds were flipped upside down. I was working night shift at the hospital and Kyle was on chauffeur duty. He would drive me to and from work (occasionally bringing Ava along). After a long night of work I would be greeted by my pups head out the window and my handsome man in the front seat.

Next Steps
So here we are. Now we’re engaged! Although this isn’t where our timeline ends, we are excited to make new memories with all of you! Looking back it seems like we’ve been through a lot, but we both know this is really just the beginning of our life together.
